I made a goal to read 50 books this summer while David was gone. In the end I read 53. I didn't have the Internet to post about them all and I am too lazy to go back and list them so I am going to just start with my Fall/Winter/Spring 50 book goal. I have less time now that I have my darling spouse back so I extended my time. I started Oct 1st and will end May 1st. So far here is what I have read...
The Diamond Secret by Suzanne Wyen
It's a retelling of the story of Anastasia, if you saw the cartoon and like it then you might like the book. It's almost the exact same story, minus the magic. It was a fun quick little read but not one I'll read again.
The Real Thomas Jefferson by Allison, Maxfield, Cook, and Skousen
This book has been in my collection for almost 10 years now. It's a little over 700 pages long and so a little daunting. I finally picked it up and decided to read at the beginning of the month. It's a easy fun read with stories from Jefferson's life along with several hundred pages of his writings. Very educational and enjoyable.
Fablehaven Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary by Brandon Mull
I really like this series. It's fun, entertaining and exciting. I love all the characters especially Seth the youngest. He makes unwise choices and is stubborn and yet he really seems to be beginning to understand that his choices have serious consequences. I highly recommend it to anyone that loves a good fantasy. Start with the first one though!

May I recommend: The Hunger Games (by Suzanne Collins), Icy Sparks (by Gwyn Hyman Rubio), and if you haven't already--The Host.
My nephews are addicted to Fablehaven, so I need to read them.
(I've also had Hunger Games recommended to me.)
Hey! I just got a letter back in the mail that we mailed to David two weeks before he was supposed to come home. I'm so sorry he never got it. Please let him know that we did send it!
