2 weeks

OK so it's been 2 weeks and we are all still alive. I consider that a HUGE accomplishment!!! Not that we haven't had a few close calls. Tristan has chosen now to become a whiny clingy child. Not that I can't handle it but it just is harder than it would've been a few weeks ago. He also adores Drew. Sometimes a little too much. He is always "cuddling" (really smothering) him whenever he does tummy time. Also today he pulled his blankie out from under him and sent him flying across the floor. Luckily Drew is tougher than he looks and getting smushed and sent rolling doesn't really bother him. He gets really excited when he hears Tristan's voice and responds well to the torture he inflicts on him. I try to only step in when it looks like it's getting dangerous. I just can't wait till Drew is big enough to tackle back. That'll be fun to referee.
I have to admit this newborn stage is my least favorite. I can't wait for Drew's personality to start showing more. I love when they start interacting and playing. It's so much fun to watch them discover new things. The eating, pooping and sleeping stage gets old after a few, well, hours. Drew looks just like Tristan did when he was a baby so I wonder is he will lose his dark hair and be blond!! His eyes are actually more gray than blue which is cool but I am hoping for brown or green. I know that people say don't rush the growing up but I if I could skip ahead to 5 months I totally would. I would also pause Tristan's age. I am having so much fun with him...when I don't want to strangle him that is. It's fun to see what traits of mine and David's they have and what is completely theirs!!! Like Tristan's OCD totally David, but his attention span, totally mine!!!!!!!!! Poor kid.

I understand everything you are saying. I have to put Libby in a pack and play or crib for tummy time because M crushes her. He's getting better. He is still clingy and whiney but it is slowly getting better. At least the weeks go by fast. They go by too fast for me but I love newborns. I am one of the only people I know who can't wait for them to get older. I have to admit she is getting more and more fun everyday.
